GUIDE

How do I set watermark opacity and position so they don’t block the subject?

Dial opacity so the subject stays obvious and the mark still shows; place it off faces and product heroes. Confirm on one representative image before you run the whole pack. There is no universal “best percentage”—the same setting feels different on a white product crop and a night portrait.

In Stampdrop, opacity and placement matter more for delivery than fancy fonts. Free local batch overview: free batch watermarks (no upload).

1. Trial one image, then batch

Before dropping a full folder, pick a hard frame: a face close-up, a centered product, or a high-contrast background. Tune text or logo, opacity, and placement; export a preview; then apply to the pack.

If the laptop fans up or the tab slows, split the batch. Support: [email protected].

2. Opacity: visible, not destructive

Too light and white backgrounds or later compression can erase the mark. Too heavy and proofs lose texture and expression. Aim for “content still readable, mark still present.”

When dark and light frames share one batch, group by tone or switch contrast color. Do not memorize a single percentage—trust the preview. Shrink the export to phone size once; thin strokes vanish after platform compression.

3. Placement: corner, center, or tile?

You can combine (light tile + corner logo), but every extra layer needs a fresh spot-check.

4. What to spot-check
